Song of Winter.

A blanket of ice and snow
extends over the lake.
Under it, the frozen waters
keep Life on hold.
Keeps life on hold
under its frozen waters.

The giant moon is shown
among the trees,
white trees that will soon be naked,
white trees that will soon be green again.


From the bowels of earth,
a warm premonitory murmur rises,
created by the waiting of Persephone
and the mournful crying of Demeter.
The snow melt and the winds calm down,
in a clement act,
that brings winter to its knees.
How could the ice not break,
with the crying of that mother
for her daughter.

The shine of the snow
tiny flickering crystals falls,
falls from the sky.
They settle in the night,
making it a jewel.

I feel the heart beatings of the green fields
under the snow,
getting through the sterile landscape.

Canción de invierno..

Un manto de hielo y nieve.
se extiende sobre el lago.
Debajo, las aguas heladas
mantienen la vida en espera.
Mantienen la vida en espera
bajo sus aguas heladas.

La luna gigante se muestra
Entre los árboles,
árboles blancos que pronto estarán desnudos,
árboles blancos que pronto volverán a ser verdes.

De las entrañas de la tierra,
se eleva un cálido murmullo premonitorio,
creado por la espera de Perséfone
y el triste llanto de Deméter.
La nieve se derrite y los vientos se calman,
en un acto clemente,
que pone de rodillas al invierno.
¿Cómo podría no romperse el hielo,
con el llanto de esa madre
para su hija?

El brillo de la nieve
pequeños cristales parpadeantes caen,
caen del cielo.
Se posan en la noche,
convirtiéndola en una joya.


Siento el palpitar de los campos verdes
bajo la nieve,
a través del paisaje estéril.

¿Cómo podría no romperse el hielo,
con el llanto de esa madre
para su hija?
